John McCain A Man of Courage, A Leader, A Hero

Posted by justthefactsplease on March 30, 2008

Peoria, AZ     John McCain spent 5 years in a POW camp in North Vietnam.  Does that give him the experience to lead a country as big and powerful as the United States?  Probably not.  However, it does prepare him for the stress that the job will bring with it.  Experience alone is not what makes a man, or woman, capable of the job before them, but it does give a wealth of fortitude and courage from which to draw.   I would like to know what hardships Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have experienced to prepare them for the job of running our country.  And I do not mean self-inflicted experiences such as marrying a womanizer and having to live through the ordeal on national television.  Or distorting the issue of race to an extent that one would need a psychologist to help them find themself.  Listen to the following video, it says a lot.

Hillary Clinton Bow Out?

Posted by justthefactsplease on March 30, 2008

Peoria, AZ      Since when are candidates asked to “bow out”?  Democrates have, for the past week, been admonishng Hillary Clinton for not stepping out of the Presidential race against fellow Democrate, Barack Obama.  Rewind back a month to John McCain and Mike Huckabee.  I don’t remember Mike Huckabee being hounded like Hilliary Clinton is.  And with that said, Huckabee was in no means anywhere as close to McCain in the delegate count as Hillary is to Obama.   As Bill Clinton said earlier, “Let the states decide.”

Political Quotes of the Week

Posted by justthefactsplease on March 30, 2008

Peoria, AZ     Quotes of the week:

John McCain:  “We need to listen, we need to listen and respect the Democratic views of our allies.”

Bill Clinton:  Democrates need to “relax and let the rest of the states vote.”

Rush Limbaugh:  “McCain is now siding with our enemies.”

Jay Leno: “Who would have thought Hillary Clinton had more war stories than John McCain.”

Beltway Boys:  “I’m not sure the media knows how to handle Obama.  Maybe it’s because he’s black and they don’t know how to handle that.”

Barack Obama:  “The truth is that my foreign policy is actually a return to the traditional bipartisan realistic policy of George Bush’s father, of John F. Kennedy, of, in some ways, Ronald Reagan, and it is George Bush that’s been naive and it’s people like John McCain and, unfortunately, some Democrats that have facilitated him acting in these naive ways that have caused us so much damage in our reputation around the world.”

Tucker Bounds:  “Obama represents an absolute departure” from Reagan and other presidents “whose strength in the face of an outspoken and determined enemy won the greater peace for a generation.”

And my personal favorite:

James Fulford (on Dreams of My Father):  “I think a lot of people just assumed that what they knew about Tiger Woods — he came from a stable mixed race home, he didn’t favor one part of his heritage over another, he had a rock-solid psyche, etc. — (that this) also applied to Obama. I realize that doesn’t make one bit of sense, but stupid ideas can get stuck in people’s heads for stupid reasons.”

Barack Obama on Education

Posted by justthefactsplease on March 27, 2008

Peoria, AZ       Barack Obama has, since 1998,been addressing the issues of education.  He believes that any student (in Illinois) who maintains a B average should go to college for free.  This was recently echoed by Nancy Napolitano, governor of Arizona.  Obama supports charter schools and private funding for these schools.  He is in favor of paying teachers more for their promise to teach better.  Does not feels No Child Left Behind lived up to its name.

Hillary Clinton on Education

Posted by justthefactsplease on March 27, 2008

Peoria, AZ       Hilliary Clinton has long been an advocate for education.  While Bill Clinton was still governor of Arkansas she chaired the Arkansas Educational Standards Committee from 1982 to 1992.  Her goal during this time was to improve Arkansas’ educational system.  However, no one really knows who well it really worked; the records for that ten year time frame mysteriously disappeared.  We do know this, though, since getting the legislation through for mandatory teacher testing, Arkansas’ statewide school report card has risen from the lower 50 states to the middle.

A Blog With Integrity

Posted by justthefactsplease on March 27, 2008

I have decided to embark on an online news blog.  One that will hopefully be balanced and fair.  Please, keep me honest.  If I am reporting on something and am misquoting it, let me know.  However, if the facts are unmistakable, I rely on my right as an American to publish articles and facts that cannot be labeled as libel.  Here’s to honesty in America.

If you would like to hear my rantings, (some might not think them balanced or fair and may be offended) read my postings at the following link:

Sex Scandals Plague Obama and McCain

Posted by justthefactsplease on March 27, 2008

Peoria, AZ       While both Obama and McCain are being accused of illicit sexual behavior, Obama in the 1990’s with a male in the back of a limousine and McCain with a lobbyist in the late 1990’s, I find it interesting that McCain’s rumors are aired tonight on the most of the news stations but I can’t remember hearing about Obama’s rumor on any of the evening news stations.  Well, maybe it was fleetingly discussed on Fox News.

Do I think any of it is true?  Honestly, I don’t know, but as a heterosexual woman, one icks me out a little more than the other.  Come on people, get a clue.  The liberal media is only going to let us hear what they want us to hear.  And that is, the big, bad, white Republican versus the sweet, All-American black Democrate.  Maybe  I should rephrase that in an unbias format.  According to recent rumors, the big, bad, white adulterous Republican, versus the sweet, All-American homosexual black Democrate. There, I feel better now.
